During the visit, the guests were introduced to the operations of the bacteriology laboratory and the laboratory for especially dangerous infections. During the meeting, an expert assessment of the current operating conditions of the laboratories was conducted and recommendations for further improvement in the area of biosafety were developed.
The international experts also presented practical proposals aimed at improving the safety and efficiency of laboratory operations.
In the future, the WHO plans to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the biosafety and biosecurity status of NCE laboratories. This initiative will help determine the current situation in the Republic of Kazakhstan and identify priority areas for strengthening the national biosafety system.
In turn, the WHO Country Office in Kazakhstan expressed its appreciation for the fruitful collaboration and constructive interaction in the field of public health.
